Custom CSS for Header / Page Title Display

Custom CSS for Header / Page Title Display

I would like to display titles on a few pages but not all of them, and I can't seem to get the Custom CSS right. Can you help? Also, do I need to insert separate CSS into custom pages for the page titles to be hidden on those?

The pages I want titles displayed on are:

  1. Forum discussions (the individual discussions, not the /forums page)
  2. Clips (the individual files, not the /clips page)
  3. Blogs (the individual blog posts, not the /blog page)
/* header css */
.header-logo { margin-top:10px; margin-left:100px; }
header#siteHeader {
border-bottom: 3px solid #EBEBEB;

body:not(#clipPage) not(#topicPage) h1#pageTitle { display:none; }

h1 {
font-size: 18pt;
font-style: bold;

Good morning Aliza,

Your CSS looks close. This selector:

body:not(#clipPage) not(#topicPage) h1#pageTitle { display:none; }

Is what you are using to try and hide the header, but it is just barely malformed.  Try this, and let me know how it goes:

body:not(#clipPage):not(#topicPage) h1#pageTitle { display:none; }

I believe that should do it, but let me know if you have any issues.

Hi Aliza,

The issue is that the page ID for the topic page is wrong in your original selector. The page ID is forumTopicPage not simply topicPage.

So, try this CSS instead:

body:not(#clipPage):not(#forumTopicPage) h1#pageTitle { display:none; }

Give that a shot and let me know if it works!
