Hi, Is it possible to export member data for members of a Permission Circle? We need to get a list of all members in a Permission Circle and then filter that by country and perhaps other criteria for some regional communications. Is there a way to do that? Thanks, ST
Hi ST! Sure you can do that! Go to your top level control panel, under manage members, use the Permission Circle filter to get your list of members, and then in the dropdown menu at the bottom of the page, select "export member information (CSV)". That will get you a spreadsheet of all of the profile fields for those members.
Hi ST, You can now search by group circle in the Group's Manage Members control panel. Additionally, if you are a Member Manager on the main site, you will also be able to search by any other profile field. Then, also as a Member Manager on the main site, you can export user CSV data from within the Group control panel. I believe this should give you all of the tools you need to do what you are looking for. These improvements are all part of The Personalized Activity Stream Release . Hope...
There is no way to export messages, but instead of printing it you could save it as an html page. In your browser, under file, save page as.. That way it will open in your browser if you want to review it or print it later.
Thanks, is there a way to determine what IP address a person signed on from? I think someone is using a differents persons ID thus causing my community issues. I just want to see the logon pattern for two users. THANKS!
As an alternative to printing to a HTML file, you can download a PDF file creator (I use NovaPDF) which enables you to create PDF files. NovaPDF uses the ordinary print function and you select NovaPDF from the list of your available printers before printing. Once the PDF file is created you can print any page you wish to. NovaPDF can also be used from any program which uses a print function.
Hi Christian, We can provide you an export of your UBB Forum data for a flat fee. The amount of the fee generally varies depending on the size of your site. We also have importers that allow you to import data into UBB Forum from a variety of different community platforms (including Eve, UBB.threads, vBulletin, phpBB, Ning, and more). Are you moving to a new UBB Forum site, or are you moving from your UBB Forum site to a different site? What's your UBB Forum site URL? If you can provide some...
Hi Dmytro, It looks like you've posted to a very old support topic. UBB Forum exports are generally in a SQL dump format. I'm going to fork your second Salesforce question into a separate topic since it's not related to the original question here, but we'll be sure to answer you regardless. Regards, Brian
Is any documentation available for UBBForum? I haven't been able to find any. Regardless, I migrated servers, and while hostnames were resolving, forum users were in all liklihood posting to a database either on the new host or old host....
Hi Rosemary, Thank you. That works if the permission circle is at the community level. The permission circle I need is at the group level. Sorry, I should have mentioned that. How I can export all the members of a permission circle within a group? Thanks, ST Suggestion for later
Hi ST- Unfortunately, the search you are trying to do is currently not possible. In the main site level Manage Members CP, you can search for members within a group (and location), but there is no subfilter (after you filter by a specific group) for finding the members within a permission circle within that group. We'll have to discuss that internally to see how feasible that is... or whether that would be more appropriate at the group level search.
Hi Ted, If I could export a group permission circle and import it as a community permission circle , then I could get what I need. For the short term, I think this would allow me to do what I need. Do you think that's possible? ST
Hi ST- Unfortunately, there is currently no way to export a group's permission circle. That's obviously a hole that we will want to fix by supporting it in some way in the future. We will likely add support for filtering by permission circle at the group level. Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Hi there, We just realized that when we export group member information, the column of the CSV file that shows last login time includes logins at times of day that haven't happened yet. Our whole site's default time zone is set at Eastern Daylight Time, so we're not sure how to interpret or resolve this. Please advise. Thanks! Emma
Hi Emma, All the date/times in the CSV are set to UTC, so that there is standardization and all the times are consistant. Remember, while the site is set to eastern time, your personal time could be set elsewhere and so then which one would we export? We always set the CSV to UTC and then it's always the same no matter who exports it what their personal settings are, or what the site is set to.
