Daily Digest / Weekly Digest of notifications?

SocEnt Speakeasy ·
I realize there are functions for getting instant email notifications, or alerts. Is there a function to have a daily digest of these items or weekly digest?  Or if not instant email, how can I enable my alerts to catch it? Here's what I see for...

Daily digests - control duplicate posts?

MHK@CS2 ·
Yesterday I cross-posted a topic post in three forums, and when the daily digest came out, it had the same question and answer three times. How can I prevent this in the future? Thanks!

Hi Mary, Any time a topic is cross-posted to multiple forums, it will appear in the digest for each of those forums since it's technically new in each forum. There's currently no way to prevent those duplicates. Note that only users who have a digest for all three forums would see all three topics in their digest. Some users may limit their digest to just a forum or two, in which case they would only see the topic in the forum(s) to which they've subscribed to digests. I can convert this to...

Re: Daily Digest Email triggers "contain content typically used to steal personal information"

Hi Dave, I just set up a test account yesterday. I subscribed it to daily digests. The digest I got today in Gmail did not have the warning. I have asked the member who got the original warning to forward the original email to me. He thinks he may have deleted it, but he will forward any other messages like this. I wonder if the problem was some content in one of the posts in the digest. Here is a link to the topic quoted in the digest. https://www.bosepro.community/...mixer-to-l-1-classic ST

Hi, Happy whatever you may be celebrating. A customer just sent me this note. Can you fix things so the Daily Digest Email does not trigger this warning in Gmail? Thanks, ST

Hello, Hoop.la currently only supports daily/weekly digests for notifications of forum topics. For all other content types (blogs, clips, calendar events, dialogs, chat events, etc.), instant email is the primary option. Alerts are also not currently support for new topic notifications. We do have plans to extend alerts and digests to additional content types in the future, but those improvements are currently not scheduled for release. As such, I don't have an ETA as to when they might be...

Hi Jessica, I wanted to let you know that with The Circles Release , Hoop.la now supports more enhanced alerts, which includes new content notifications. You can configure the delivery methods for your account (Email and/or On-Site Alert) in your Notifications. Hope that helps! Brian

That's what I was thinking. It's the same email template that all Hoop.las use, and your own site has been using it all along with no issues. There is no link in any of the posts, and there certainly isn't anything there that *I* would think compromises someone's personal information, but the gmail people don't ask me for my opinion.

Happy whatever to you too! Never seen that warning from gmail, and the image is broken in your post. Does it give any kind of additional information?

Got it now. Never seen that before. I'll talk to Brian and Jonmark when we get back and see if we can determine what causes that. Is it all of your daily digests? Or just some days?

Hi Dave, I've been monitoring daily digests for the past four days. No problems with gmail. I'll close this one for now. Thanks for your help. ST
