Re: How do I change the colour of the "Closed" tag

Dave Dreezer ·
If you want all the similar alerts to change color then go to your theme settings, scroll down to Component Colors and check the Override button. You'll see the red alert. If you only want the closed buttons (warning, major hackjob coming ) go to your CSS and add .h-closed-label {background-color: #00ff00 !important;} .h-topic-closed-label {background-color: #00ff00 !important;} </major hackjob> You might disagree with the color that I chose.

Hi, Dave. This worked perfectly. In https://www.sitename/cp/display-settings Custom CSS /* closed tag dark grey on grey */ .h-closed-label {color:#B8B8B8 !important; background-color: #ededed !important;} .h-topic-closed-label {color:#B8B8B8 !important; background-color: #ededed !important;} For anyone else following along, I had to learn about Using !Important Thanks Dave! Hi! With our (largely) monochrome branding, the red CLOSED tag is a visual shock. Please remind me, how do I change the colour? Thanks, ST

Try this in your header. Your tastes in colors may not match mine, adjust to fit. <style type="text/css"> table.ev_post_table td.ev_post_table_leftcol { color: #00ff00; } table.ev_post_table td.ev_post_table_leftcol * { color: #00ff00; } </style>

Well, those right hand side cells don't have their own class names, so as a work around let's broaden it up some, and hope we don't go overboard. Add this below the last entry, and above the closing style tag: table.ev_post_table * { color: #00ff00; }

That worked! I just did the second part in the style tags - and not the original tags and it changed the text on the right... I haven't noticed any problems with other text being changed because of this though just yet.

Re: change color

Dave Dreezer ·
Hi Verneitta, You can change it by editing the theme. You'll need to go to http://funstuff4.hoop.la/cp/ad...e=463909205101944617 Scroll down to "Default Content" then change the background color. Once you change that you might also need to change the font color as well as the link color, which are in the same area.

Re: Forum Refresh Release - Member icon colors - look like polka dots - not great

Dave Dreezer ·
try this in your custom css. .default-member-avatar-container circle, .default-member-avatar-container rect { fill: gainsboro !important; } You will want to update the Email CSS for "default_avatar" to match whatever color you set on the website as well. background-color: gainsboro !important; In this example gainsboro is a greyish color. You'll find a large listing of colors to chose from here . That was the first thing I found. You can probably find a few better color charts if this...

ST, I have edited the post since your last reply. The css for email part of my answer is updated since I posted it. You'll want to add the background-color line to whatever you already have in the box for default_avatar in the email css.

Forum Refresh Release - Member icon colors - look like polka dots - not great

ST ·
Our brand color scheme is shades of grey with little color, and when there is color, it is for specific purposes. Is there a way to override the colors used on member avatars. The multi-colored default avatars won't work for us. Grey would be better than the colors. How can we do that? Thanks, ST

Hmm... doesn't seem to work yet. Here's what I have at the head: <style type="text/css"> table.ev_post_table * { color: #f0f0f0; } .iframe_tos { background-color: #000000; color: #ffffff; } </style> The first part is what changed the "post new topic" description text.

Re: Color of "Terms of Service" window

Dave Dreezer ·
Hi Cdub, I was wrong on that one. Since it is served from an iFrame, applying styles to the outer will not get applied to the iFrame itself. The good news is that the iFrame will take HTML, so you can simply put a div around your TOS wording and set your style that way. In the TOS area of the control panel do this: <div style="background-color: #000000; color: #ffffff;">my TOS wording here</div>

Almost there. I managed to change the colors of the background and the text but there's still a border there in the iFrame yet that I haven't been able to change yet. http://www.studentfilms.com/ev...ww.studentfilms.com/ <div style="background-color: #f0f0f0; color: #000000;"> is what I've used.

Hi Chris, Check into the CSS properties for width padding or margins. You'll need to address them by the look of it.

Hi ST, Those are actually images. If you look in the images section for your theme you will see ubbcode - bold, ubbcode - italic, etc. You would have to make custom white versions of the images you want to update and update the url for those images to point to them. Jeff

Re: In a Style - what is the name of the NEW button

Brian Lenz ·
Hi ST, You'll want to look in the Component Colors section of your Theme. The "NEW" label's background uses the 'Primary' Background Color in the Component Colors section. Keep in mind that this color will be used in a variety of places throughout the Hoop.la UI. If you want to target just the NEW label, then you'd need to use custom CSS, e.g.: .h-new-label {background-color: red;} Substitute whatever color you'd like there. Hope this helps! Brian

In a Style - what is the name of the NEW button

ST ·
Hi, When we first set up the site, I changed the background color of the NEW button. I can't remember which setting in the STYLE controls this. Our branding guidelines suggest that buttons should be shades of gray. But we really need "New Since Last Visit" (and I just voted for it). In the meantime, I need to make NEW items stand out in the Topic list. ST
