I approve of the hunting knife in picture three. Is that what you/Sandy used to carve, Lori?
Comment

Re: Behind the Scenes - Pumpkin Carving Contest

Lori ·
Yep, that's Sandy's knife from his Army days. He was very nervous to have me use it. To be honest, it's only good for the big stuff---there's no delicate work that can be accomplished with a knife that size.

Re: Feeling Gratitude Today

Ohhhh, look! *moment of nostalgia* It's funny: I've had a couple of moments of "gathering gratitude", where I didn't even really recognize it as such. I walk around saying, "I LOVE my job!" A great way to start one's day....and finish it!

Re: Behind the Scenes - Meet Audrey

Well, James, if I *did* talk to her when we're alone, I wouldn't necessarily tell you. This plant is as old as my great-uncle. The story is that my great-uncle's grandmother sent a clipping from HER Christmas cactus to her daughter, on the day he was born. She rooted it, and this is the result. When my great-aunt died, my great-uncle had my parents drive it home from Coeur d'Alene (that was about 13 years ago, I think), and I've had her ever since. I'm the one who named her.

I cannot imagine having the job of coming up with these swags. Some of the ones I've seen posted here are cool. There was a group of movers that had a ball similar to the one posted on here. Maybe they were trying to say "it's a ball for us to move all your stuff!"

I think you guys come up with wonderful ideas...our grandchildren learned how to kazoo with your groupee kazoos, and we still have them! And remember the video of the Bevis family Christmas kazoo carol...oh my... I'll try to link to it (it is in the Kazoo link from my page) http://www.hoo.do/fileS...5730654972943902.jpg But...I'm wondering how could I get one of those brains, they look like great stress relievers.

While they don't have your logo, my company hands out those brains occasionally during staff trainings. I have a lapel pin in the form of an IUD - yep, the birth control device. That's probably my weirdest swag yet.
