If you want to be a successful community manager, you need to keep your finger on the pulse of your community. One effective way to do that is to watch and highlight content that's popular.

We recently added a new standard widget that makes it easier to keep track of what's trending in your community.  (Just click "add widget to this page" to access the standard widgets.)

The new widget can be applied to clips (photos, videos, files), blog posts, and forum topics. Behind the scenes, Hoop.la determines what's trending based on views, likes, and comments or replies.

The example below shows one version of the trending blog posts widget. If you click  "See All," you will go to a full page view of the trending content.

Take it to the next level, and embed this widget on your other web properties---for example, show your trending forum topics on your home page in order to entice potential members to stop by and participate.

We'd like to give a hat tip to Julia M. Usher of Cookie Connection for suggesting this enhancement.

Do you have a great idea that would make Hoop.la even more awesome? Come and share your thoughts on our help site: https://hey.crowdstack.com/support
