We've been working on some projects around here in markets that have "gorillas" shuffling around in them.  Without naming names, I'll just say that one of them rhymes with "shmacebook" and the other one rhymes with "shyspace."  And often when I tell people what we do, they give me a quizzical look and ask how we could overcome such momentum in the marketplace.  My response is, "why not?"  You see, I truly believe that we have better ideas, and so I'm going to put them out there and let the market decide.  Certainly "shyspace" looked completely indomitable a couple of years ago.  Things look a bit different today.

Imagine the day Henry Ford told someone about his idea to mass-produce horseless carriages.  "But won't you need to build an entire network of smooth paths for the carriages to travel on...but no-one will need those, they all have horses...who will repair them when they break down..."  I'm not comparing our technology to the invention of the automobile, but you get the picture.  If Henry had listened to anyone but his own gut, we'd all be clopping around on ponies today.

So I say "let it rip!"  If you have a fantastic idea, do it, get it out there, and see what happens.  The worst thing that could happen is you fail and start working on the next cool idea.  Go for it, and don't let "those people" tell you that you can't.

Ahhh now you caught my eye.. It all began for me with a mysterious invitation found while surfing the net. Something called Groupee (they could not even spell it right )
It was an invitation to put your name down for future participation in a new socialising medium. Some chap called Ted O'Neill sent a message back saying they were not ready yet but would be in touch.
I forgot about it till they got in touch.. "Oh  yeah that"... I for a penny in for a pound. Or is that Cent and Dollar?
So it began for me. I joined looked around saw the message, the message was not clear. What was the goal? Music was involved. As time went by, the music bit got too strong started to swallow the social aspect. Then eventually a change of direction. a kind of a parting of the ways and now you have the LiveCloud structure and it's ever increasing cousins and adopted family.
The goal is still not within sight. It remains out of reach, but as Rosemary has stated "go for it".. The main thing I like about this is it is not cast in stone, there is potential for change. It is a living growing entity. That little baby idea is toddling now and we all know toddlers learn to run.. Just wait and see.
