Today's topic---made-up web 2.0 words that need to be voted off the island, immediately. For some reason, in the last few years, it's become trendy to take two words and just randomly mash them together to create a "new word." I'm hereby putting my foot down; I will tolerate them no more!

Here is my list:

webinar (it's a presentation on the web)
mompreneur or webpreneur (ya can't just stick "preneur" on the end of any word)
staycation
blogosphere
tweeps

Feel free to add your own suggestions. I am hereby waving my wand and banishing these from our vocabulary. If we stick together, maybe we can make an impact.

What?? I've never either used that term or inspired someone to a bloggasm... unless there's something you're not telling me, Gel.

Adding any word to "meme" as well: techmeme for example. Heck, I could even do away with "meme" as an expression of those stupid online things I occasionally fall prey to.
